There’s a new Sheriff in town! If you’ve read the latest edition of Bean Scene you’ll know that we’ve recently replaced our original 10-kilogram Roastmax coffee roaster with a brand spanking new Italian import.
The new 60-kilogram Imf industrial drum roaster is an absolute beauty, and for coffee nerds like us, is the step up we’ve been dreaming about for a while now.
In addition to providing an extra 50 kilograms of roasting capacity, the super slick set up is also a lot more energy efficient due to its recirculating heat technology, which reduces gas consumption by up to nearly 50%.
The bells and whistles don’t stop there either! The unit’s hi-tech Wi-Fi connectivity means trained technicians can see how the machine is performing in real time, allowing for any performance issues to be resolved in a matter of minutes. And its equaliser ensures the same volume of air enters the roaster, giving even heat distribution across the entire surface of the coffee beans.
