Where we're going when NSW restrictions are lifted
This lockdown has made us feel, well, a little locked down... We’re dreaming of the day we can sit in a cafe and sip out of a mug (all love to paper, but it’s just not the same). So, we have listed just some of our favourite coffee spots and where you’ll find us once restrictions are eased. Wherever you find yourself, just know; you’re never too far from great-tasting coffee.
Chapman Lane Cafe (Gymea)
Need a brekkie or lunch that won’t break the bank? Chapman Lane is your best friend. Located in Gymea, this nifty little cafe serves Three Pence coffee all day long. You’ll leave feeling full, satisfied and with an extra spring in your step. PS, try their Salted Caramel Affogato and thank us later.
Melt Espresso (Miranda)
When we find ourselves in Miranda, we always gravitate towards our mates at Melt Espresso. These legends are always serving up the best and most affordable breakfast and lunch orders, you can also score some Three Pence coffee while you’re there.
Rise on the Bay (Oyster Bay)
You can rise a bit easier knowing you can get some sustenance and coffee from Rise on the Bay. Located in Oyster Bay, this cafe serves you great brekkie, lunch and dinner. Yep, even dinner! They have burger nights and offer picnic grazing boxes, for all of our fully vaxxed friends out there. Oh, and of course, they serve yours truly in the coffee department. They really do tick all the boxes, don’t they?
Mr Paisleys (Caringbah)
If you crave fresh, tasty foods from a quaint, family-run cafe; then Mr. Paisley’s in Caringbah will do perfectly. Our favourite part? You’ll receive a fortune note with every coffee with some words of wisdom to ‘gram. Three Pence coffee and an affirmation to start your morning? No one does it better.
Balgowlah Socials (Balgowlah)
If you ever find yourself in Balgowlah and don’t know where to go, try Balgowlah Social and Espresso Bar. Whilst they’re known for their delicious and filling burgers, they also make a great coffee. Expect some Three Pence goodness upon your next visit and taste the difference!
The Crossing Espresso Bar (Sutherland)
Sutherland is good for many things; its central location, connecting trains, getting to work, and of course The Crossing Espresso Bar - they’re here to make your return to the city commute bearable! Renowned for their pies (how good are pies!), they also specialise in their coffee, so you can expect that great taste along with either a sweet or savoury bite to eat. What coffee could be that good, you ask? Well, ours of course!
Alice Cafe (Sylvania)
If Sylvania has been in your 5km radius during the lockdown, you’ve most certainly been lucky enough to get your brekkie from Alice Cafe. They have an extensive range of sweet or savoury breakfast and lunch options and are renowned for their excellent coffee, featuring us - of course. This little cafe is definitely worth a go once restrictions are lifted, and once you meet the friendly staff, you’ll just want to keep going back.
Wise Monkey (Berowra)
If you ever find yourself North of Sydney, we highly recommend visiting Wise Monkey Cafe (Hugo’s personal favourite, for obvious reasons). Located in Berowra, this cafe is committed to providing healthy food options that won’t break the bank. Other nifty things you’ll find at this cafe is great Three Pence coffee, and even some tasty hampers for picnics, dates, anniversaries - you name it! Wise Monkey Cafe is definitely worth your time if you’re a foodie who loves to explore.
Urban Cafe (Homebush)
Go urban with your brekkie at Urban Cafe. Situated inside Sydney Olympic Park, this spot offers all your favourite classic cafe options, along with some fun new additions (Nutella pita, anyone?). Score some great tasting food options before or after exploring Bicentennial Park, seeing a show or any other activities offered in the area. What will keep you going, you ask? The Three Pence coffee sold there, of course (wink)!
So, we will see you there once it is safe to do so and as always, tell them we sent you.
